Bowmore The Vintner’s Trilogy French Oak Barriques 26 Year is the second expression in Bowmore’s Vintner’s Trilogy series — an Islay single malt spending the first 13 years in former Bourbon barrels then an equal 13 years in ex-wine French oak barriques in the No.1 Vaults (said to be the oldest Scotch maturation house still in operation), presenting a weighty, opulent 48.7% ABV dram of plum jam, burning oak, earthy peat, red grapes, espresso, raisins, and dark chocolate.
