Hibiki is Suntory’s blended Japanese whisky — the prestige expression of the House of Suntory, harmoniously blending malt whiskies from Yamazaki and Hakushu with grain whisky from Chita. The iconic 24-faceted bottle represents the 24 seasons of the Japanese calendar. Hibiki Japanese Harmony is the accessible flagship; the 17 Year and 21 Year are the prestigious aged expressions; and the 30 Year is among the rarest and most collectible whisky releases in the world.

Suntory’s accessible flagship blended Japanese whisky — malt whiskies from Yamazaki and Hakushu blended with grain whisky from Chita Distillery. Floral, fruity, and elegant. The 24-faceted bottle represents the 24 seasons of the traditional Japanese calendar. The most widely available Hibiki expression and the natural starting point for anyone exploring Japanese blended whisky.
Hibiki 17 Year was discontinued in 2018 due to whisky stock shortages across the Suntory portfolio — the same shortage that also temporarily removed Hakushu 12 Year from shelves. Age-stated Japanese whisky requires forward-planning a decade or more in advance; the boom in global Japanese whisky demand outpaced aged stock availability. Remaining 17 Year bottles are collector’s items that command significant secondary market premiums.
The prestige tier of the core Hibiki range — a blend of malt and grain whiskies aged a minimum of 21 years from Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita. Deep, complex, and exceptionally balanced: dried fruit, sandalwood, rose, and a remarkably long finish. Consistently awarded and considered one of Japan’s finest blended whisky expressions. Still in limited production but substantially rarer and more allocated than Japanese Harmony.
