Lalocura Pechuga is a traditional Pechuga-style mezcal from the Lalocura distillery in Santa Catarina Minas, Oaxaca — produced by Eduardo Ángeles Carreño using ancestral clay-pot distillation, with the third distillation including a raw poultry breast (the pechuga) along with seasonal fruits, producing the distinctive savory-fruit profile of the classic Pechuga tradition.

Lalocura is one of the most respected producers in Santa Catarina Minas, the Oaxacan town known for its ancestral clay-pot distillation tradition. Carreño continues his father Lorenzo Ángeles’ work using stone-and-clay ovens, copper-and-clay stills, and rigorously traditional methods. The Pechuga is ceremonially produced for special occasions in Mexican agave-spirits culture.
