Rhum J.M. is produced at Habitation Bellevue, an estate distillery on Martinique's northernmost tip in the Macouba district, at the base of Montagne Pelée — an active volcano whose nutrient-rich lava soils create the distinctive mineral quality that J.M.'s rhums are known for. Founded over 160 years ago, the estate operates under the AOC Martinique Rhum Agricole designation, distilling exclusively from freshly pressed sugarcane juice grown on the volcanic soils of Habitation Bellevue.

The XO Tres Vieux ("Very Old") represents the ceiling of the J.M. range and one of the finest aged rhums agricoles from Martinique.
