Willett did not resume distilling at Bardstown until 2012, so this bourbon was sourced from another Kentucky producer and selected by Willett rather than made by it. That era of the Family Estate program — buying mature barrels, tasting through them, bottling the good ones individually at full strength — is the one collectors chase hardest, because the stock behind it is finite and gone.

The distillery of origin isn't named on the bottle, and attributing one without documentation would be guesswork.
