Wild Turkey Bourbon Master's Keep 17 Year is the oldest Bourbon they’ve ever released… and it happened by accident. Seems they ran out of storage space in the wooden rick-houses at the Wild Turkey Distillery, so a bunch of barrels were moved from the lowland stone warehouse at Old Crow. When space opened up, they moved them back into a metal and wood one.
Wild Turkey Master's Keep 17 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Aroma of caramel, vanilla, peaches, apricots and burnt sugar.
Palate: Big flavors of butterscotch, baking spices, blueberry pancakes and fresh maple.
Finish: Refined finish marked by superb notes of citrus and toasted oak.
Distillery Information
In 1869, the Ripy Brothers started distilling on Wild Turkey Hill near Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Their early days went well and their Bourbon — Ripy Brother Bourbon — was selected to represent the State of Kentucky at the Chicago World’s Fair in 1893.
