Sazerac Rye is the original New Orleans whiskey — distilled by Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, Kentucky from a low-rye mashbill, with a sweet, fruit-forward palate balanced by a spicy, lightly licorice-tinged finish. The base of the classic Sazerac cocktail, presented here in 1.75L format.

Sazerac Rye traces its roots to the saloons and coffee houses of 1800s New Orleans — including the iconic Sazerac Coffee House on Royal Street, where the Sazerac cocktail was born. Buffalo Trace produces it today using a low-rye mashbill (corn-leaning by rye standards), which softens the grain assertiveness and brings out the brand’s signature sweet-spice balance. A natural fit for the Sazerac, Manhattan, and Old Fashioned, and an easy pour neat or on the rocks.
