Pusser's British Navy Rum is a full-bodied dark rum made in the style of the historic Royal Navy Admiralty blend, aged a minimum of three years in charred ex-bourbon barrels at 84 proof, with no added sugar or coloring.
Also known as Pusser's Blue Label, this rum is inspired by the Admiralty blend once issued to Royal Navy sailors before the daily rum ration ended on Black Tot Day, July 31, 1970. Founder Charles Tobias later obtained Admiralty permission to commercialize a rum based on the historic blending specifications. It is produced from Guyanese distillates from the Demerara River Valley, including spirit made on historic wooden pot stills, which create heavier, more flavorful esters and congeners than neutral distillation. Matured at least three years in charred ex-bourbon barrels, Pusser's states it contains no added sugar, artificial flavoring, or artificial coloring — its dark amber character develops naturally.
