Garrison Brothers Single Barrel Cask Strength Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish is a Texas wheated bourbon finished four years in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks and bottled uncut and unfiltered at 126.8 proof.
This single barrel combines Texas maturation with an extended Spanish sherry-cask finish. Made from a wheated mash bill of 74% Panhandle white corn, 15% soft red winter wheat, and 11% two-row malted barley, the bourbon spends four years in new American oak followed by four years in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks — eight years total — before bottling at 63.4% ABV (126.8 proof). Master Distiller Donnis Todd reserved 13 distinctive Oloroso barrels from the original Ranch Reserve production lot for individual cask-strength release. The Oloroso profile shows walnut, dried fig, oak, baking spice, and savory depth, with each barrel offering its own balance.

What does the Oloroso finish contribute?
Oloroso is a dry, oxidatively aged Spanish sherry; its casks add nutty, dried-fruit, spicy, and savory character.
How does it compare to the PX finish?
PX is richer and sweeter — chocolate, caramel, dried fruit — while Oloroso leans drier and more savory, with walnut, oak, and baking spice.
