BOLS Apricot Flavored Brandy 70 Proof

BOLS Apricot Brandy (70 Proof) is the classic Dutch apricot liqueur — fresh apricot juice supported by tones of orange to give a richer, fuller flavor matched to its golden-amber color. The original apricot liqueur in the Mai Tai, Zombie, and Apricot Fizz.

The Bols family started producing liqueurs in a small Amsterdam distillery called ’t Lootsje. Lucas Bols, grandson of the founder, became a major shareholder in the Dutch East India trading company in 1700, which gave him first choice of newly arrived exotic herbs and spices — a privilege that helped him create over 300 liqueur and spirit recipes and ship Bols around the world. Bols also pioneered the famous Dutch genever made from long-fermented rye, wheat, and corn; a more subtle Bols Genever recipe shipped to the United States played an important role in the cocktail revolution, and Jerry Thomas’s 1862 cocktail recipe book featured genever in roughly one of every four cocktails. Bols began maturing genevers on French Limousin oak casks in 1883.
