Barrell Craft Spirits Cask Strength Rum 14 Year is a single-barrel or small-batch Jamaican rum aged 14 years, bottled at natural cask strength without dilution. Barrell Craft Spirits is a Louisville, Kentucky non-distiller producer known for sourcing exceptional barrels of whiskey and rum and bottling them at cask strength with full provenance transparency.

Fourteen years is exceptional for rum — most commercial aged rum releases top out at 12–15 years, and the tropical climate of Jamaica means aging is faster than in cooler climates. The tropical warehouse conditions produce rapid extraction and greater angel’s share loss per year than Kentucky bourbon aging, meaning a 14-year Jamaican rum has experienced significant concentration. At cask strength, none of that concentration is diluted before bottling.

Nose: Tropical fruit, dark berry, Jamaican funk, and aged oak. Palate: Complex and concentrated at cask strength — ripe fruit, dark pepper, caramel, and wood tannin. Finish: Long and tropical.
