Bardstown Bourbon Company Discovery 2026 is a limited release blending 7-, 10-, and 11-year-old straight bourbons finished four months in rare custom Garryana oak barrels, bottled at 112.8 proof.
The 2026 Discovery continues Bardstown's acclaimed blending program, pairing mature straight bourbons with an unusual secondary oak finish. After blending for balance between mature fruit and oak, the whiskey was transferred into custom Garryana oak barrels from Oregon for four additional months. Also known as Oregon White Oak, Garryana is a scarce Pacific Northwest species prized for distinctive spice and structure; the finishing barrels were made by Oregon Barrel Works and hand-toasted for three hours, with summer maturation chosen to encourage oak interaction. Bottled at 112.8 proof (56.4% ABV), with original label artwork by Louisville artist Margaret Archambault.
