Schladerer Himbeergeist is a traditional Black Forest raspberry eau-de-vie from Germany — made by macerating fresh raspberries in neutral spirit, then distilling to capture their pure, fragrant essence.

Because raspberries contain too little sugar to ferment on their own, Himbeergeist (“raspberry spirit”) is produced by steeping whole fresh berries in neutral alcohol before distillation, a method that concentrates the bright, true-to-fruit aroma. The result is a clear, dry, intensely aromatic spirit in the classic German Black Forest tradition, typically served well chilled.
