Ak Zanj Haitian Dark Rum 8 Year is the 8-year aged expression of the Ak Zanj Haitian dark rum range — “Ak Zanj” translating from Creole as “With Angels,” a reference to the Angel’s Share lost to evaporation in tropical barrel aging. Under Haitian climate, the Angel’s Share can reach 10% annually, with extended maturation producing deeper concentration and structural complexity.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Beautiful, smooth dark mahogany
Nose: Moderately complex — sweet caramel bouquet first, then heavier brown sugar, butterscotch, subdued earthy sweet sugarcane, mild tobacco leaves, and vanilla
