Maker's Mark 2024 Greats of the Gate 'Man O' War' — a Kentucky Derby season Private Selection release honoring Man O' War, the undefeated 1920 racehorse widely considered the greatest thoroughbred of the 20th century. Produced through Maker's Mark's Private Selection program using a custom combination of seasoned wood stave finishing applied to the standard Maker's Mark wheated bourbon base.

The Greats of the Gate series pays tribute to iconic horses from Churchill Downs racing history, with each annual release carrying a unique stave finishing configuration. Man O' War went 20-for-21 in his racing career, with his only loss at Sanford Stakes in 1919. The stave finishing imparts additional flavor notes beyond the standard Maker's Mark 90-proof base.
