1800 Guachimonton Añejo is a limited prestige expression from 1800 Tequila — an añejo finished in orange tequila liqueur casks and presented in a distinctive red ceramic bottle inspired by Los Guachimontones, the UNESCO World Heritage circular pyramids of Jalisco's Tequila Valley, with the red clay ceramic paying tribute to the same nutrient-rich volcanic soil that gives Los Altos highland agave its distinctive character.

The orange liqueur cask finish is the flavor distinction — the residual orange tequila liqueur in the casks adds a bright, warm citrus character to the base añejo that references the orange trees historically cultivated throughout the Jalisco tequila region. The ceramic bottle, made from the same red clay found in the Tequila Valleys, is as much a collector's object as a spirits bottle. Browse all 1800 Tequila at Wooden Cork.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Los Guachimontones?

Los Guachimontones are circular stepped pyramids in the Tequila Valley of Jalisco, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They represent one of the most significant archaeological sites in Western Mexico, built by the Teuchitlán culture and believed to represent the sun and serve as ceremonial gathering places. The 1800 Guachimonton ceramic bottle is modeled after these pyramids.
