Laphroaig 34 Year The Ian Hunter Book 5: Enduring Spirit is the fifth and final instalment in the iconic Ian Hunter series — an exceptionally rare Islay single malt of 34 years celebrating the lasting legacy of Ian Hunter, the final member of the Johnston family to own and manage Laphroaig Distillery, whose vision and influence established the American Oak ex-Bourbon barrels and the malting floors that define Laphroaig to this day, bottled at 45.5% ABV.

Ian Hunter’s contributions to Laphroaig were foundational: he introduced American Oak ex-Bourbon barrels to the distillery’s maturation process following his travels to the United States, and he established the malting floors still in use at the Port Ellen distillery. The intriguing flavours of the fifth and final release — classic Laphroaig peat combined with fruity blueberry and sweet, rich butterscotch — showcase the evolving vision and individuality that Ian Hunter had in mind, making it a legacy of spirit that will endure.
