Tosba Mezcal Pechuga is a traditional Oaxacan pechuga-style mezcal from cousins Edgar Gonzalez Ramirez and Elisandro Gonzalez Molina in the Sierra Norte of Oaxaca — the Tosba base mezcal further distilled with a whole chicken breast (pechuga) suspended in the still alongside fruits and spices, in the ceremonial Oaxacan tradition that lends complex savory depth to the agave spirit.

Pechuga production is a Oaxacan ceremonial tradition: during the final distillation, a whole chicken breast is suspended in the alembic alongside seasonal fruits, nuts, and spices, with the vapors passing through and around the suspended ingredients to capture aromatic and structural character from each. The result is a more complex, fruit- and spice-driven mezcal with subtle savory depth. Tosba’s sustainability-driven Sierra Norte production gives the Pechuga its distinct regional character.
