The Dalmore Distillery in Alness, Ross-shire has operated since 1839 and is best known for its use of American white oak ex-bourbon casks followed by finishing in a variety of sherry and wine casks — a layered approach that produces the rich, fruity, and spiced character the distillery is known for. The 15 Year uses three sherry wood cask types. The 18 Year uses American white oak and a sherry finish. The Cigar Malt Reserve is a vatting of aged expressions specifically balanced to complement the flavors of a premium cigar.
