Don’t let the negativity surrounding this release keep you from a wonderful Blanco Tequila. 818 Blanco is one of the very best Blancos I’ve tasted in years. Buttery sweet cooked-agave, vanilla, cinnamon, citrus, vegetal, and white pepper make it beautifully balanced with a great mouthfeel and finish. The 818 Blue Weber agaves are traditionally cooked/crushed/distilled from harvest to bottling. As always, fast shipping and great packaging from Wooden Cork.

Just tried the 818 I’d ordered here at Wooden Cork. Been a Tequila Blanco (only) drinker for decades. 818 Blanco is a truly exceptional tequila. I am impressed. The legs on my glass are pronounced, and the aroma is fresh, clean, sugary cooked agave with a hint of citrus and white pepper. The mouthfeel is fantastic, and coats the entire palette. Beautifully balanced taste of sweet cooked agave, butter, earth, vanilla, cinnamon and pepper. Instantly one of my favorite sippers. I’ve tasted most all of the Blanco Tequila backed by a celebrity and was never impressed...until today. An extremely good Blanco that reflects the tradition and care used in its production. Well done all at 818 and Nom 1137.
