Templeton Barrel Finished Series Caribbean Rum Cask is a straight rye whiskey finished in dark rum barrels — from Templeton Rye, the Iowa rye whiskey rooted in a Prohibition-era recipe. Built on Templeton’s 95% rye mash and given a Caribbean dark-rum-barrel finish for added sweetness and tropical depth.

Templeton Rye began during 1920s Prohibition as a bootleg rye whiskey in Templeton, Iowa — affectionately dubbed “The Good Stuff” and reportedly favored by Al Capone. It was legally re-established in 2001 by Scott Bush and Meryl Kerkhoff (son of original bootlegger Alphonse Kerkhoff), distilled to the Kerkhoff Prohibition-era recipe. The Barrel Finished Series Caribbean Rum Cask extends the core rye with a dark rum barrel finish.
