James E. Pepper 1776 Straight Rye is a deep amber, high-rye whiskey — delicately floral aromas of dried peach, nougat, crème brûlée, and pepper, with a supple, dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body and a buttercream, orange spice cake finish.

Reviving a historic Kentucky brand, the 1776 Rye rounds out nicely with a few drops of water. Excellent neat or in a classic rye cocktail.
