Glenfiddich Excellence 26 Year Old is a Speyside single malt aged exclusively in ex-bourbon casks sourced from the family-owned Kelvin Cooperage in Kentucky — Glenfiddich’s first ongoing release aged entirely in American oak, producing a whisky fundamentally different from the sherry-influenced core range, with rich vanilla and toffee on the nose and a layered fruit bomb anchored by oak spice and cinnamon on the palate.

Every other expression in Glenfiddich’s core range uses sherry or a combination of sherry and bourbon casks. The Excellence 26 Year breaks from that tradition entirely: 26 years exclusively in American oak from the Kelvin Cooperage — which, like Glenfiddich, is independently owned and family-run.
