Booker Noe was Jim Beam’s master distiller from 1954 until 1992 and is considered one of the founding figures of the modern craft bourbon movement. He created Booker’s in the 1980s as an ultra-premium cask-strength unfiltered expression taken directly from the centre of the warehouse where temperature variations are most extreme. Each batch is named to reflect Booker’s philosophy and character. The ‘Kentucky Chew’ name honours the specific tasting technique he taught — working the bourbon around the mouth to understand its full flavour.
