American Freedom Distillery was founded by Green Berets and named for the Horse Soldiers — the special operations forces who famously rode on horseback into Afghanistan in 2001. The distillery operates in Tampa and produces bourbon as a primary expression of American craft and tradition. The Liberty 13 Year is the oldest age statement in the Horse Soldier lineup — 13 years in new charred American oak producing the deep amber color, integrated caramel and vanilla, and the oak tannin structure that extended maturation delivers.
