Herradura

Herradura Tequila was founded in 1870 in Amatitn, Jalisco — one of the first commercial tequila producers in Mexico and pioneer of the modern Reposado category in 1974. All agave is estate-grown at Hacienda San Jos del Refugio and cooked in traditional clay ovens (hornos) using natural wild yeast fermentation. The lineup ages significantly longer than legal minimums: Reposado 11 months (minimum 2), Añejo 25 months (minimum 12), Selección Suprema 5 years in French oak. The Legend Añejo is aged in deeply grooved, heavily charred barrels for a uniquely smoky, rich character.
