1800 Cristalino Añejo 1.75L is the large-format version of 1800's award-winning cristalino — añejo tequila aged 16 months in American and French oak barrels, finished six additional months in Port wine casks, then charcoal-filtered to crystal clarity while retaining the complex caramel, honey, vanilla, and Port wine character that the aging program develops.

The Port wine cask finish is the production detail that sets 1800 Cristalino apart from most cristalinos, which use standard American oak alone. Six months in Port casks adds dried red fruit, warmth, and a medium-bodied sweetness that makes the filtered spirit noticeably richer than charcoal-filtered añejo without Port influence. The 1.75L format provides better value per unit than the standard 750ml for those who enjoy the Cristalino regularly. Browse all 1800 Tequila at Wooden Cork.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the Cristalino have a Port wine finish?

Port wine casks add dried red fruit, warmth, and a caramelized sweetness to the already-aged añejo base before filtration. The combination of 16 months in American and French oak plus 6 months in Port produces a richer, more complex charcoal-filtered spirit than American oak alone achieves — making 1800 Cristalino particularly distinct within the cristalino category.
