Belle Époque Brut. Perrier-Jouët — one of Champagne's most visually recognized prestige cuvées, presented in the iconic hand-painted Art Nouveau bottle featuring white anemone flowers designed by Émile Gallé in 1902 — a Chardonnay-dominant blend from the grand cru vineyards of Épernay that presents the house's signature floral, fruit-forward style.

Perrier-Jouët was founded in 1811 and established its Belle Époque identity in the early 20th century when the anemone bottle became the most recognizable prestige Champagne vessel in the world. The Art Nouveau design by Émile Gallé — one of the movement's leading glasswork artists — was created for a 1902 commission and has defined Perrier-Jouët's prestige presentation ever since.

The liquid is a Chardonnay-dominant blend emphasizing the chalk-driven minerality and fresh citrus character of the Côte des Blancs grand cru vineyards, aged for a minimum of 5 years on lees before disgorgement.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What makes the Belle Époque bottle significant? The hand-painted white anemone Art Nouveau design by Émile Gallé was created in 1902, making it one of the longest-running artist-designed prestige bottle designs in wine history. Each bottle is individually decorated, and the design has become synonymous with luxury Champagne gifting globally.
  • What is the Belle Époque's style compared to other prestige cuvées? Belle Époque is distinctly floral and elegant — more delicate than Dom Pérignon's richness or Cristal's minerality. The Chardonnay dominance produces a lighter, more floral style that emphasizes freshness and finesse over power.
