Moore Kentucky Straight Bourbon Finished in Cabernet Sauvignon Casks is a California-cabernet-finished Kentucky bourbon bottled at 95.3 proof — caramel and vanilla sweetness underpinning peanut-butter-fudge notes on the finish and a resonant dark-fruit jam-iness reminiscent of peanut butter and jelly. Fruity and the sweetest of the Thomas S. Moore line.

The Cabernet finish brings berries (rather than the more concentrated jam of the Port sibling) and a longer, syrupy-sweet character. Raspberries and vanilla lead the nose with citrus and herbal lift; the palate opens spicy and gives way to syrupy caramel and juicy raspberry, with vanilla and baking spice through the mid-palate. Long, lingering fruity-sweet finish.
