The center rackhouse position ensures even, moderate maturation over 12 years without the accelerated extraction of upper-floor barrels — the same approach as the standard Knob Creek 12 Year. At cask strength, the water reduction step that normally brings the 12 Year to 100 proof is omitted entirely, delivering the full barrel intensity: more concentrated oak and fruit, more assertive spice, and a longer, more complex finish than the standard-proof version while retaining the same foundational caramel and vanilla character. A limited production run that sells through quickly.
