Don Julio 70th Anniversary is an añejo cristalino — the tequila is aged to full añejo maturity in American white oak, then filtered through activated charcoal to remove the barrel's color while retaining the complex vanilla, caramel, and oak flavors the aging developed. The result is a crystal-clear tequila with the depth and complexity of an añejo at the visual lightness of a blanco — a distinctive style that makes it as visually striking as it is flavorful. The 70th Anniversary designation honors the founding year of Don Julio's tequila production in 1942 at La Primavera distillery in the Jalisco Highlands. As the Cristalino expression, this is the most sophisticated and collectible bottle in the Summer of Fútbol series — Raul Urias's design and the 70th Anniversary significance make it the natural anchor of any collection of the four expressions.
