Beginning / A twice distilled single malt whisky. We ferment Australian malted barley with brewers' yeast for an extra flavourful craft finish.

Middle / Solera is fully matured in carefully selected Apera casks, an Australian fortified wine that's similar to Sherry. The traditional way we blend Solera means there's a drop of our original cask in every bottle.

End / Rich and well balanced. Jammy fruits, creme brûlée and spice with a lingering dry finish.

Gold Medal Winner at World Whiskies Awards 2016, 2017, 2019.

Unfortunately, we can't ship to PO Boxes and APO addresses.

One for the collection!

This is Starward's first whisky ever produced and of the three I have tried is my favorite next to the Two-Fold. Starward specializes in using Australian Red Wine Barrels to age most of their whisky, however this one is an exception. For Solera, they use a kind of Australian sherry called 'Apera', which tastes similar to a fruity, Cream Sherry. As you might think, this one does have some sweetness on the palate, which reminded me of a creme brulee with red berries. It's really well balanced however, and the sweetness fades out into a dry oak spice. This whisky is a great one for your collection and definitely something special to pour out for your friends. Great by itself, and killer in an Old-Fashioned!
