Excellent Eastern style Starter absinthe

This was a nice absinthe for the style that is is. It is not remarkable in complexity but it is not bad quality for price and style absinthe. As a matter of fact, it is better than some in its range that costs $10 or more higher in price.
It is not overloaded with Star Anise oils so the louche is not as strong as other types (if that is an aspect you are looking for).
Its color is a lighter verte and very clear with no particulate visible from the secondary coloring maceration step of a verte.
This is not over complex in additional flavors as well so it makes a nice introduction to an Eastern/Bohemian style absinthe without being confusing.
The aroma on the nose once diluted with water is light and very nice. It is not that complex nor as overpoweringly strong for a first time drinker.

Mouth feel is nice but on lighter side, even with sugar cubes.

I suggest 2 sugar cubes with this at 3 oz of water. Maybe 1 cube with full 5oz of water to get a new drinker accustomed to the bitterness of the wormwood. If more bitterness is your thing, it is fine without any sugar at all.
