Angostura is a name synonymous with cocktail culture worldwide — the aromatic bitters behind the dash in every Old Fashioned, Manhattan, and Pink Gin have been produced at the House of Angostura in Trinidad since 1824. The formula remains one of the most guarded secrets in the spirits industry, known to only a handful of people. Beyond bitters, Angostura produces a celebrated range of aged Caribbean rums, a Caribbean amaro, and a line of premium cocktail syrups.
Aromatic Bitters — the original and essential cocktail ingredient; one or two dashes transform an Old Fashioned, Manhattan, or Champagne cocktail. Orange Bitters — bright and citrus-forward, essential for a dry Martini. Cocoa Bitters — rich Trinitario-cocoa bitters for dark-spirit and dessert cocktails. The three core expressions are also available as a complete bitters bundle, alongside the commemorative 200th Anniversary gift edition.
Built on continuous column distillation and aged in American oak ex-bourbon barrels in Trinidad's tropical climate. 1919 (8 years) — toasty vanilla, spice, and dried fruit; one of the finest value aged rums anywhere. 1824 (12 years) — rich and complex, built for sipping. 7 Year — maple, chocolate, honey, and toffee at 40% ABV. Superior 5 Year — soft and approachable, with tropical fruit. White Oak — a light, charcoal-filtered mixing rum.
Amaro di Angostura — a deep amber Caribbean amaro built on the brand's botanical expertise. The cocktail-syrup line includes Demerara Sugar Syrup for toffee-rich depth in spirit-forward drinks and Spicy Honey Syrup for a sweet-heat accent.
