Parker's Heritage Collection 18th Edition — 14-Year American Malt Whiskey, 107 proof, 2024. Heaven Hill's annual fall prestige release in its 18th edition, presenting American malt whiskey — the rarest base spirit in the PHC catalog — at 14 years and 107 proof.

The Parker's Heritage Collection has produced 18 annual editions exploring the full range of Heaven Hill's distilling capabilities. Malt whiskey editions are the rarest of the series — the 7th Edition (2013) was the program's first American malt whiskey release, making the 18th Edition only the second malt expression in the 18-year history of the program. American malt whiskey must be produced from at least 51% malted barley — a grain profile that produces a fundamentally different character from bourbon's corn base: roasty, biscuity, more herbal and grain-forward, with the barrel's influence showing differently than it does over corn-based spirit.

At 14 years and 107 proof, the 18th Edition is both the most age-forward and most accessible-proof PHC malt — a combination that positions it as the mature, contemplative expression of a grain rarely seen at this age in American whiskey.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How many PHC editions have featured malt whiskey? Two — the 7th Edition (2013) was the first American malt whiskey release in the PHC program. The 18th Edition (2024) is only the second in the collection's 18-year history, making malt expressions the rarest category in the entire Parker's Heritage vertical.
  • What is American malt whiskey? American malt whiskey must be produced from a mash of at least 51% malted barley, aged in new charred oak containers. The malted barley grain produces a character distinct from corn-dominant bourbon — roasty, biscuity, more herbal and grain-forward, with the barrel influence integrating differently over the base spirit's natural sweetness.
