Classified as whiskey and not bourbon because it’s not aged in new charred oak barrels, but rather used bourbon barrels. This allows mellow flavor with less intense smoky, charred influence found in bourbons. Instead, sweetness, oak, mint and spice are dominant flavors.

This whiskey is like a smooth bourbon without as much smoke as some. I really like it neat with a soda water back while nibbling on a piece of semi-sweet chocolate. It might be a little too light in some cocktails though. For me, it will be my go-to for sipping.
