Hillrock Sauternes Bourbon is from Hillrock Estate Distillery in the Hudson Valley, New York — a true field-to-glass craft producer’s Solera-aged bourbon finished in Sauternes wine casks for an additional layer of honeyed, dried-fruit, and dessert-wine character on top of the underlying bourbon profile.

Hillrock Estate Distillery is one of the few American whiskey producers using estate-grown grain, an on-site malt house, and traditional Solera aging. The Sauternes finish brings the influence of French noble-rot Bordeaux dessert wine into the bourbon — a finishing program more familiar in Scotch single malt than American whiskey.
