Broken Barrel Isle of Peat blends American wheat whiskey and American single malt, then matures it with charred oak staves reclaimed from Islay Scotch barrels — imparting an unrelenting smoky finish.

Islay Scotch barrels (themselves ex-bourbon casks shipped to Scotland) are broken down to staves and submerged in the blended whiskey for a minimum of 30 days in a warm, dry environment, transferring their smoky character into every drop.
