Gran Coramino Añejo is the premium aged expression from Kevin Hart and Juan Domingo Beckmann's Gran Coramino — 100% Blue Weber highland agave matured over one year in American and French oak barrels, then blended with an Añejo finished in ex-cognac casks to produce a layered, smooth, and distinctly complex añejo with butterscotch, toasted cacao, and coffee bean character.

The ex-cognac cask blend is the production detail that distinguishes Gran Coramino Añejo from standard single-oak añejo expressions. Cognac barrels carry French brandy residue — floral, fruity, and subtly spiced — which adds a refined European dimension to the American and French oak base, producing the deep toasted cacao and coffee bean notes that make the expression stand out. At 80 proof, it is smooth enough to sip neat or over ice. Browse all Gran Coramino at Wooden Cork.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the ex-cognac cask blend add to Gran Coramino Añejo?

Cognac barrels carry aged French brandy residue — floral, fruity, and subtly spiced. Blending in an Añejo matured in these casks adds toasted cacao, coffee bean, and a refined European smoothness that neither American nor French oak alone produces. It is the key differentiator between Gran Coramino Añejo and a standard dual-oak aged expression.

Is Gran Coramino Añejo Double Gold at SFWSC?

Yes — Gran Coramino Añejo won Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, one of the most respected spirits competitions in the United States and a meaningful quality validation beyond the celebrity association.
