Vodka ‘made from clouds’ launches
South Carolina-based Hilton Head Distillery has launched a vodka made using water sourced directly from clouds, called Aermoor.
Each bottle of Aermoor Vodka is handcrafted at Hilton Head Distillery from fresh molasses, it is then distilled 49 times before being proofed down with water sourced directly from the clouds above Hilton Head Island. Distillery owner Joe Fenten said: “Aermoor Vodka is a product of Hilton Head’s radiant environment and we’ve used the finest water source there is – water sourced directly from the atmosphere. The result is crisp and delicious vodka that will appeal to everyone.” The process behind Aermoor’s distilling, created by Fenten, uses an atmospheric water generator. Fenten added: “The passion and driving force behind Aermoor was to create the purest and smoothest vodka in the world." The small-batch vodka has been described as "incredibly smooth with hints of sweet and soft aromas". Aermoor is now available to purchase in 75cl bottles from stores across South Carolina. This new cloud-sourced vodka follows in the footsteps of Fog Point, a vodka from California made with water from fog catchers.
