Highland distiller Tullibardine has redesigned its core range of single malt whiskies to meet growing demand for sustainable packaging.Tullibardine’s Signature range will now be sold in lighter cardboard packaging, which has been made using responsibly sourced materials from local forests. The new packaging weighs 100g less than the previous box, reducing the impact on the environment. As well as utilising renewable resources to make the new packaging, the Perthshire distiller has also updated the design for the packs, incorporating coloured headbands on the finishes, which are said to “help draw out the artisanal nature of the brand”. Michael Elliott, Tullibardine general manager, said: “Markets and consumers are changing rapidly so we are evolving our brand to adapt to these trends. “We want to emphasise the craft and character associated with the Tullibardine brand which is why we’ve used high-quality materials and eye-catching colours in the redesign.” The brand refresh will be rolled out across the Tullibardine Sovereign, 225, 228 and 500 Scotch whiskies. Earlier this year, Highland distillery Tullibardine added a 15-year-old single malt Scotch whisky to its Fine Aged Collection.
