Speyburn marks Boutique-y’s 100th product line

Independent bottler That Boutique-y Whisky Company (TBWC) has released its 100th product line – a Speyburn single malt.

The company, established in 2012, has released 100 different whiskies from around the world, including single malts, blended malts, single grains, and blended whiskies. Just 233 bottles of batch one of the new Speyburn expression – a seven-year-old whisky called Supersplendiferous Speyburn Single Malt – have been released. It has been bottled at 49.5% abv and carries an RRP of £46.95. “Reaching 100 individual lines is a significant milestone, but really only scratches the surface of the scope of TBWC’s ambitions,” said TBWC’s Ben Ellefsen. “The fact that the 100th line is from Speyburn (and is hence, objectively the nectar of the gods) is frankly a delightful coincidence. And nothing more. Where’s my Martini?” A “pimped-up” one-lite bottle of Supersplendiferous Speyburn Single Malt has been created to mark the occasion and will be auctioned to raise money for charity Malaria No More UK on Master of Malt from 17-24 July. The bottle features hand painted gold detail and is accompanied by a specially created presentation box. Earlier this year, the team behind That Boutique-y Whisky Company formed what is thought to be the world’s first independent gin bottler – That Boutique-y Gin Company.
