Berry Bros unveils spring 2024 range
London-based Berry Bros & Rudd has released its spring 2024 spirits collection, which includes a Swedish whisky and a South American rum.
The new collection features Benrinnes 1979 Exceptional Cask, Small Batch Glenlossie 2013, Craigellachie 2013, Knockdhu 2012, High Coast Peated 2012, Ardmore 2009 and Guyana 2013. High Coast Peated 2022 hails from Sweden’s High Coast Distillery and is priced at £110 (US$140). Meanwhile, the ‘elegant and fruity’ Guyana 2013 rum offers aromas of honey that develop into dry menthol notes, followed by bursts of sweet fruit. The rum carries a price tag of £125 (US$159). Five single malt Scotch whiskies feature in the range, including four from Speyside: Knockdhu (RRP £75/US$95), Craigellachie (RRP £90/US$114), Glenlossie (RRP £70/US$89) and Benrinnes. Distilled in 1979, the Benrinnes bottling comes from Berry Bros’ Exceptional Cask Collection and is available for £1,800 (US$2,284). Completing the Scotch line-up is a peated Madeira cask-finished whisky from Highland distillery Ardmore, priced at £96 (US$122). Felix Dear, spirits curator for Berry Bros & Rudd, said: “Building on the success of previous releases within our seasonal portfolio, we continue to pour our expertise and passion for spirit into selecting each bottle and curating these collections, with a goal of showcasing a diversity of flavour and makers. The 2024 Spring Release is no exception. "It is always a pleasure to shine a light on distilleries from the iconic Speyside and Highland regions, many a stone's throw from where I have hosted whisky tastings in the past, as well as delving into the rich and exotic flavours of South American rum and representing the burgeoning Swedish distilling scene.” Berry Bros & Rudd will open a dedicated spirits shop in London next month.
