Hendrick's Oasium Gin. Hendrick's Gin Palace, Girvan, South Ayrshire, Scotland — the sixth Cabinet of Curiosities release, inspired by Lesley Gracie's expedition to a desert oasis where she encountered camel polo and a hidden paradise of cooling herbs and vibrant tropical fruits.
Master Distiller Lesley Gracie drew her inspiration for Oasium from a journey to a sun-drenched desert oasis — a naturally occurring sanctuary of lush vegetation, cooling herbs, and vivid fruits amid the arid desert. The experience, which included a game of camel polo, captivated Gracie with the extraordinary plants that thrive in such an unlikely setting. She returned to the Gin Palace and bottled that sensory memory. As with all Cabinet of Curiosities expressions, Oasium builds on the Hendrick's dual-still base (Bennett pot still + Carter Head still) with a curated layer of desert and oasis-inspired botanicals. Hendrick's describes these only in broad terms — "a lush blend of green botanicals, delicate herbs, and a kiss of citrus" — but the tasting experience is vivid and unmistakable: tropical fruit, citrus, and a fresh herbal character reminiscent of oasis vegetation.
Oasium is among the most crowd-pleasing of the Cabinet of Curiosities releases — vibrant and fruit-forward, but with a green herbaceous freshness and Hendrick's signature juniper backbone that keeps it firmly in gin territory. Best served in a G&T with cucumber, or the Oasium Fizz (gin, orange liqueur, lime juice, aromatic bitters, chilled).
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Bright tropical fruit salad — ripe papaya, guava, and pineapple dominate, with peach and mango alongside. A ghostly echo of Hendrick's rose and elderflower ties it back to the original DNA. Fresh grapefruit and a cooling herbal freshness round it out.
- Palate: Boldly flavored and luscious. Peach and orange marmalade open before the mid-palate bursts with grapefruit, papaya, and guava. Subtle spice notes of cubeb and coriander contribute a white pepper-like quality. Prickly pear, dried date, and a touch of tarragon add unexpected depth.
- Finish: Moderately long. Tarragon and citrus — particularly lemon and pink grapefruit — linger alongside a gentle fruity sweetness. Clean and refreshing through the close.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What does Hendrick's Oasium taste like? Tropical fruit-forward — papaya, guava, peach, and grapefruit dominate the nose and palate. Subtle cubeb and coriander add white pepper-like spice, with tarragon and citrus on a long, clean finish. Juniper and Hendrick's signature rose provide the gin backbone.
- What inspired Hendrick's Oasium? Master Distiller Lesley Gracie was inspired by a trip to a desert oasis where she played camel polo and was captivated by the lush vegetation — cooling herbs and vibrant fruits thriving in an unlikely paradise.
- Is Oasium similar to Grand Cabaret? Both are fruit-forward Cabinet of Curiosities gins, but Oasium leans into tropical citrus and green herbs rather than Grand Cabaret's stone fruit focus. Oasium has a fresher, more herbal character alongside the fruit.
- What cocktails is Oasium best in? Excellent in a G&T with cucumber, the Oasium Fizz (gin, orange liqueur, lime juice, bitters), or a Negroni where its pink grapefruit notes stand up to Campari. Simple, citrus-forward drinks work best.
- Is Oasium a limited release? Yes — the sixth expression in Hendrick's Cabinet of Curiosities series, released in 2025. Only one Cabinet of Curiosities expression is available at a time.
