Gran Coramino Reposado Cristalino is the debut expression from the Kevin Hart and Juan Domingo Beckmann collaboration — a reposado aged in Eastern European oak barrels for milk butterscotch and soft oak character, then finished in California Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks for spicy dark berry notes, and slow-filtered to crystal clarity while retaining the full complexity the aging program produces.

Juan Domingo Beckmann is the seventh-generation heir to the Jose Cuervo dynasty and the man credited with pioneering the cristalino category through Maestro Dobel Diamante. The Gran Coramino Cristalino applies the same philosophy — crystal-clear appearance with aged tequila depth — but with a distinctly Californian finishing touch. Stone oven cooking, native yeast fermentation, and copper pot still distillation produce the highland Los Altos agave base. Browse all Gran Coramino at Wooden Cork.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the California Cabernet cask finish add?

Cabernet Sauvignon casks carry the residue of bold red wine — dark berry, spice, and subtle tannin. In Gran Coramino Cristalino, the Cabernet cask adds spicy dark berry notes as a counterpoint to the Eastern European oak's butterscotch and vanilla, producing a more complex and layered cristalino character than single-oak programs achieve.

How does Gran Coramino Cristalino compare to Maestro Dobel Diamante?

Both are cristalinos with Beckmann family DNA. Diamante blends Reposado, Anejo, and Extra Anejo before filtration for the original multi-age approach. Gran Coramino Cristalino is a reposado with a California Cabernet cask finish — a lighter, fruitier, and more Californian-influenced expression of the cristalino style.
