Machrie Moor is the windswept and mystical peat bog on the west coast of the Isle of Arran — Bronze Age stone circles and standing stones strewn across its barren, undulating terrain, including the legendary Fingal’s Cauldron Seat stone circle. The peated expression perfectly captures the rugged beauty and lore of the landscape. Since 2019, all peated production on the island has moved to the sister distillery at Lagg, making the remaining Lochranza-produced peated stock the only opportunity to taste the original Arran peated character.
