Buffalo Trace Distillery has been crafting exceptional bourbon in Frankfort, Kentucky since 1773 — making it one of the oldest continuously operating distilleries in America. Every bottle in this collection traces back to that single legendary campus on the banks of the Kentucky River, from everyday drinkers to the most allocated bottles in American whiskey.
The Buffalo Trace portfolio spans the full spectrum of what Kentucky bourbon can be. The flagship Buffalo Trace Bourbon is the approachable entry point — rich vanilla, mint, and molasses at an honest price. Step up to Eagle Rare for a decade of aging and notes of toffee, dark chocolate, and dried fruit. For the wheated bourbon style — softer, sweeter, and built on wheat rather than rye — explore the full W.L. Weller lineup, from Weller Special Reserve through Weller 12, Full Proof, and CYPB.
At the top of the pyramid sits the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection (BTAC) — five releases that define the annual allocated bourbon calendar. George T. Stagg is uncut, unfiltered, and typically exceeds 130 proof. Eagle Rare 17 Year delivers seventeen years of patience in every pour. William Larue Weller is the wheated BTAC expression — barrel proof, deeply complex, and among the most sought-after bottles released each fall. Colonel E.H. Taylor Barrel Proof honors Buffalo Trace's most historically significant figure. Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye rounds out the collection with uncut straight rye from one of America's oldest rye traditions.
Above even BTAC sits Pappy Van Winkle — the Van Winkle family's wheated bourbon program, produced at Buffalo Trace and released in five expressions from 10 to 23 years. Pappy is the most recognized allocated bourbon in the world, and Wooden Cork carries the full lineup including Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year, Van Winkle Lot B, Pappy 15, Pappy 20, and Pappy 23.
The collection also includes Blanton's Single Barrel — the original single barrel bourbon, first bottled in 1984 — in Original, Gold, Black, Straight From The Barrel, and international expressions. And Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel, named for the master distiller who created Blanton's and one of the most underrated allocated bottles at Buffalo Trace.
Buffalo Trace Distillery produces Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Blanton's, Eagle Rare, W.L. Weller, Pappy Van Winkle, George T. Stagg, William Larue Weller, Colonel E.H. Taylor, Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye, and Elmer T. Lee — all from a single distillery campus in Frankfort, Kentucky.
The Buffalo Trace Antique Collection (BTAC) is an annual fall release of five ultra-premium, limited-allocation expressions: George T. Stagg, Eagle Rare 17 Year, William Larue Weller, Colonel E.H. Taylor Barrel Proof, and Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye. Each is bottled uncut and unfiltered, and all are among the most coveted releases in American whiskey each year.
Both use Buffalo Trace's wheated bourbon mashbill — wheat instead of rye as the secondary grain — but they are separate programs. W.L. Weller is produced and bottled by Buffalo Trace at accessible price points. Pappy Van Winkle is produced under license from the Van Winkle family, aged longer, and released in extremely limited quantities annually.
Wooden Cork carries the full Buffalo Trace portfolio including allocated expressions like Blanton's, Eagle Rare, Weller, Pappy Van Winkle, and BTAC releases. Browse the complete collection above or explore our rare and allocated spirits for the most limited bottles.
