Antinori Solaia is one of the world’s most celebrated Super-Tuscans. Launched in 1978 by the historic Marchesi Antinori, this flagship blend—predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc—is sourced from the sunny, stony vineyards of Pritchard Hill–adjacent Tignanello. Known for its inky color, refined complexity, and rich layers of dark fruit, spice, herbal elegance, and finely textured tannins, it ages beautifully in new French oak to become a modern Italian icon.
It blends mainly Cabernet Sauvignon (around 75%), with Sangiovese (around 20%) and a touch of Cabernet Franc.
The fruit comes from a 20-hectare northwestern-facing vineyard on the Tignanello estate, situated at 350–400m above sea level.
Expect layers of blackberry, plum, dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and mint, with vibrant tannins, cigar spice, and a long, structured finish.
Aged about 18–20 months in new French oak, it’s built for long-term aging and can evolve beautifully over decades.
Yes—select Solaia vintages are eligible for custom engraving at Wooden Cork, ideal for collectors or special gifts.
