Turntable Spirits expands music-inspired range

Glasgow-based whisky blender Turntable Spirits has created a blend inspired by Foo Fighters' 2002 hit song All My Life.

As the sixth release in the series, Track 6: All My Life continues the blender's tradition of marrying musical heritage with whiskies. The company is co-owned by brothers and experienced industry professionals Gordon and Alasdair Stevenson. The pair created the blend using whiskies from distilleries where they have worked in the past. “It’s fair to say Track 6 is our most personal blend yet," said Alastair, blender of Turntable Spirits. "We aren’t just making a nod to our past; we’re reflecting on where we’ve been, what we’ve learned along the way, and the direction of travel. “I like to think we’ve produced a dram greater than the sum of its parts while also showcasing just what makes those distilleries special.” Track 6: All My Life is a blend of four single malts and a grain whisky: GlenAllachie first-fill ex-Woodford barrels; Balblair Limousin oak XO octaves; Benriach first-fill Bourbon barrels; Knockdhu first-fill oloroso Sherry butt; and North British Bourbon barrels. Gordon added: “As with our previous releases, we wanted to create a blend that not only pays homage to a great song but also encapsulates our journey in whisky so far. “A lot of whiskies are about looking back and savouring what has gone before, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. We wanted to do something different – evoke a taste of times gone by while also bringing a modern twist. We’re especially excited about the unique combination of casks we’ve used, which gives Track 6 its distinctive character and depth.” Bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and presented in natural colour, the blend features notes of apple crumble with raisins, custard-coated walnuts, and hints of cinnamon and cocoa. The small batch release is limited to approximately 2,200 bottles with a suggested retail price of £69 (US$90). Track 6: All My Life is available from specialist retailers in multiple markets, including the UK, Germany, and the Netherlands. The company plans to expand to France, Poland, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, Canada, South Korea, and Japan in the near future. Since its launch in the spring of 2023, Turntable has released nine blended whiskies internationally. In addition to Tracks 1 to 5, named after songs by the likes of Biffy Clyro and Blondie, the independent bottler released a collaboration blend with Melbourne distillery Starward late last year.
