Tincup American whiskey unveils new formats

American whiskey brand Tincup has launched a 375ml and 1.75l bottle format for its flagship expression.

The two new sizes, 375ml Nugget and 1.75l Motherlode, feature Tincup’s signature hexagonal shape bottle and metal cap. Tincup Nugget is said to be “perfect for outdoor adventures and exploring” due to its portable size, while the 1.75l Motherlode is “ideal for setting up basecamp and sharing with your team.” The brand’s design was inspired by the tin cups originally used by miners in the old Rocky Mountain mining town of Tincup, Colorado. These bottles are nicknamed as a nod towards this same heritage. The Nugget and Motherlode bottlings contain unchanged Tincup whiskey (42% abv) and are available across the US for US$16.99 and US$49.99 respectively. Created by Jess Graber, founder of Stranathan’s Colorado Whiskey – Colorado’s “first legal whiskey”, Tincup whiskey is a blend of corn, rye and malt aged in charred American white oak barrels, it was launched by Proximo Spirits in 2014. On the palate, Tincup American whiskey is described as having sweet pepper, leather and raisin notes with a caramel and biscuit finish.
